Turbocharging involves using a dedicated compressor to pre-compress the air before it enters the cylinder. This increases the density of the air entering the cylinder, thereby reducing its volume. As a result, the mass of air per unit volume significantly increases, allowing the intake volume to meet the combustion requirements of the fuel and thus increasing engine power. The compressor used in this process is referred to as a turbocharger.

2. Natural Aspiration (Pre-intake Technology):
Natural aspiration relies on the vacuum created by the piston's downward stroke to draw air from the intake manifold into the cylinder. While simpler, this method is less effective at increasing intake volume compared to turbocharging. Regardless of the method employed, precise control over the intake volume remains essential for optimal engine performance.
