The function of the piston cooling nozzle is to prevent the piston from overheating, and to spray engine lubricating oil in a mist on the inside of the piston. If the piston cooling nozzle malfunctions, it can cause poor piston cooling.
The piston cooling nozzle sprays engine lubricating oil in a mist on the inside of the piston to prevent overheating.
If a malfunction occurs, it can cause poor piston cooling.
If the piston overheats, it will cause excessive expansion and carbonization of the lubricating oil, adhesion and burning of the sliding surface, and loosening and burning of the head.
A piston is a component in the cylinder block of a car engine that moves back and forth. The basic structure of a piston can be divided into the top, head, and skirt. The top of the piston is the main component of the combustion chamber, and its shape is related to the selected combustion chamber form. Gasoline engines often use flat top pistons, which have the advantage of having a small heat absorption area. The temperature of the cylinder and piston should continue to decrease, so that the oil-water mixture sprayed by the cooling nozzle towards the top of the piston chamber in cylinder 4 before shutdown cannot be completely evaporated. This means that the top of the piston chamber in cylinder 4 should not be operated dry, and there should be no dry or coking particles present. Therefore, it is judged that the cooling nozzle of cylinder 4 piston is blocked and ineffective, and cooling oil cannot be sprayed to cool the piston. The top of the piston is overheated, which causes the top of the piston chamber to dry. At the same time, the double-layer internal cooling oil chamber prevents the transfer of heat at the top of the piston, causing the largest amount of combustion heat to accumulate at the top of the piston, resulting in overheating of the piston and burning, cylinder pulling, and piston ring jamming.
