The big end bearing of the connecting rod is a sliding bearing used to reduce the wear of the crankpin. Its structural types are classified into crosshead and non-crosshead forms based on design differences. The big end bearing of the crosshead connecting rod is usually manufactured separately and connected by the connecting rod bolt, with the inner surface directly cast with anti-friction alloy; the upper part of the big end bearing of the non-crosshead type is integrally formed with the shaft, and the lower part of the bearing cover is connected by bolts, with a bearing bush installed on the inner surface.
