1. Summary of the complete working logic of the oil pump
Low pressure fuel supply establishes basic oil pressure → SCV electronic control accurately measures fuel flow → cam driven radial plunger mechanically compresses to 2200 bar high pressure → high-pressure oil is sent to the common rail for pressure storage and distribution to each cylinder injector → excess fuel returns for cooling → oil independently lubricates the friction pair. ECM forms a rail pressure closed-loop control through SCV, suitable for continuous heavy-duty operation of QSK series high-power diesel engines.
2. Matching fault correlation principle (easy to understand for maintenance)
1. SCV stuck: Out of control fuel measurement, low/high rail pressure P0087/P0088, difficulty starting, insufficient power;
2. Wear of plunger and deterioration of seal: compression efficiency decreases, pressure building slows down, power decreases, and return oil flow rate abnormally increases;
3. Wear of the built-in gear low-pressure pump: insufficient oil supply at the front end, cavitation caused by plunger suction, and severe high-pressure fluctuations;
