Friends who have used diesel generators generally know that the fuel injector is one of the three pairs of precision components in the fuel supply system of diesel engines. Its normal service life is over a thousand hours. But due to improper use, it often wears out and gets stuck after hundreds or even dozens of hours of use.
1, The main reasons for nozzle jamming are:
1. Diesel fuel is not clean, and there are impurities in the high-pressure oil pipe, which causes the needle valve components to not be tightly closed. The high-pressure gas in the combustion chamber will reverse flow, burning out the needle valve components. In addition, dirt on the pressure regulating spring, tappet and other parts of the fuel injector can be moved to the upper part of the fuel injector needle valve through the fuel injector tappet, or cotton ropes and lead wires used to prevent oil leakage in the oil circuit can enter the fuel injector through the high-pressure oil pipe, causing the needle valve components to jam.
2. Excessive engine temperature and poor cooling of the fuel injector result in stuck needle valve components. However, delayed fuel supply, excessive scale or blockage in the cooling water channel, wear on the end face of the water pump impeller, and long-term overload of the engine can cause the engine to overheat.
3. The wear of the oil outlet valve causes dripping of fuel when the fuel injector stops spraying, resulting in coking and carbon accumulation at the nozzle, leading to a stuck fault.
4. During the installation of fuel injectors, missing or damaged gaskets can cause air leakage, leading to localized overheating and jamming of the injectors.
5. The fuel injection pressure is too low, causing high-pressure gas in the combustion chamber to reverse flow;
6. Due to manufacturing reasons, such as tight fit between the fuel injector mounting hole on the cylinder head and the fuel injector, small gap between the needle valve body and the mounting hole on the cylinder head, and deep machining of the fuel injector mounting hole on the cylinder head.
2, Repair method for stuck fuel injector: First, put the stuck fuel injector into diesel or engine oil for heating, then take it out and wrap it with a cloth. Then, use pliers to clamp the needle valve and slowly move it out of the needle valve body. Drop a small amount of clean engine oil into the needle valve body, allowing the needle valve to move repeatedly inside the needle valve body until it can move freely. If there are burn marks on the sealing surface of the needle valve, it should be ground with grinding paste. Pay attention to the amount of grinding paste and grinding time when grinding. Install the cleaned needle valve coupling onto the fuel injector and adjust the injection pressure before reuse.
