The common engine coolant is ethylene glycol water solution, which is the foundation. Due to the requirements of modern automotive technology, many additives are added to the coolant to protect various engines. The differences in these additives have led to the differentiation of the coolant into several factions.

OAT camp

The representative product is the well-known DEX-COOL coolant. Common domestic products include Volkswagen's G12 (BASF OEM), GM's universal vehicle coolant, and Caltex's special antifreeze and anti-corrosion solution available in the retail market.

Organic acid coolant does not contain harmful substances such as silicon, amine, boron, phosphorus, nitrite, etc. that are harmful to human health or the environment. At the same time, organic acids are not easy to consume and decompose, so they can maintain a relatively long life. OAT is a long-lasting coolant, and it is recommended to replace it every 5 years or 25WKM.

Japanese coolant

The coolant used in Japanese car series is quite unique, but they generally contain phosphates, which are harmful to the environment.
