PT technology is a patented product of Cummins Inc. in the United States. Mainly composed of PT fuel pump PT fuel injector composition.
The first type is called PT (G) pump. "G" means Governor controlled, indicating that this type of pump is equipped with a mechanical governor controlled by centrifugal force from a flying block.
The second type is called PT (R) type. "R" means Pressure Regulated. Its outlet fuel pressure is regulated by a pressure regulating valve. The fuel is first regulated by a pressure regulating valve through the gear pump, which uses a diverter valve to regulate the fuel pressure supplied to the injector. The remaining fuel flows back to the inlet of the gear pump.
The third type is called PT (H) type. It is a high flow VS pump. The gears of this pump are larger, with a gear diameter of 31.75mm (11/4in), which is 6.35mm (1/4in) larger than the gears of PT (G) pumps. The flow rate of the gear pump is 67% higher than that of the PT (G) type pump. All the original KTTA38 The KTA50 and KTTA50 engines use PT (H) fuel pumps, which have now been replaced by PT (G) fuel pumps and low return fuel (RDF) injectors.
