Oil circuit segmentation workflow
1: External low-pressure pre oil supply (tank → oil pump inlet)
1. The 24V electric fuel pump extracts fuel from the diesel fuel tank;
2. The fuel is sequentially filtered through a coarse filter, oil-water separator, and diesel fine filter to remove moisture and solid impurities;
3. Low pressure fuel is sent to the inlet chamber of the CP9 fuel pump housing, with a pressure of approximately 0.5-1.0 bar.
Stage 2: Built in gear pump for secondary boosting and voltage stabilization
The main shaft of the oil pump drives the integrated gear low-pressure pump to rotate synchronously, which pressurizes the diesel entering the housing and stabilizes the low-pressure fuel supply pressure to 1.0~1.5 bar; Function: Eliminate oil supply vacuum and cavitation under high load, climbing, and high speed, ensuring sufficient oil supply to the SCV metering valve.
Stage 3: SCV metering valve accurately adjusts the inlet oil volume (electronic control core)
All low-pressure oil first passes through the SCV oil metering solenoid valve, and the Cummins ECM (electronic control module) outputs a PWM duty cycle signal to control the opening of the SCV valve core:
1. ECM collects real-time signals from rail pressure sensors, engine speed, load, and water temperature;
2. High pressure (high throttle, high power) is required: as the opening of the SCV increases, more diesel enters the plunger chamber;
3. Low pressure (idle, low load) is required: the opening of the SCV is reduced, and the throttle is reduced to decrease the fuel intake;
4. Excess diesel that has not entered the plunger is directly returned to the fuel tank through the SCV bypass return channel, completing the coarse adjustment of rail pressure.
Core logic: Measurement first, compression later, without relying on high-pressure end pressure relief and regulation, with lower energy loss, suitable for generator sets and ships that operate continuously for a long time.
