On August 11th, at the site of the Beidagang 230-megawatt photovoltaic power generation project's supporting energy storage equipment by Jichai Power Generation Co., Ltd.in Dagang Oilfield, Tianjin, the main service personnel of the project, Li Zhi, introduced.

This energy storage system is the first large-scale water-based photovoltaic project's power generation supporting energy storage unit in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region of China Petroleum. Its basic construction has been completed, marking that Jichai Power Generation's energy storage business has officially entered the market of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the water-based photovoltaic energy storage market, achieving breakthroughs in both region and specific fields.

 

JiChai Power has equipped this "water-based intelligent photovoltaic power generation system" with 7 sets of 5-megawatt/10-megawatt-hour energy storage products. These are composed of 14 5-megawatt-hour non-entry-type liquid-cooled energy storage battery compartments and 7 5-megawatt inverter-boosting units, forming an electrochemical energy storage power station. This power station is specifically tailored for the installed capacity and storage requirements of the oilfield photovoltaic project. The total design configuration is 35 megawatts/70 megawatt-hours, with an energy storage duration of 2 hours. It is mainly used for participating in system peak shaving, smoothing the output curve of the new energy power station, and addressing issues such as photovoltaic power rejection.

We fully considered the application requirements of the oilfield photovoltaic project and tailored a product solution specifically for the users.

According to Song Chunzhen, the project leader of Jichai Power, the lithium iron phosphate liquid-cooled energy storage system adopted in this project is highly resistant to water, fire, sand, and corrosion, and has advantages such as high safety, long lifespan, and high integration. The entire engineering structure is designed in a containerized manner, featuring high efficiency, quick deployment, and good economic performance. It is expected to achieve "commencement of construction in the same year and production in the same year".

In recent years, Jichai Power has successfully transformed from a traditional equipment manufacturing enterprise by relying on the product development strategy of engines, compressors, new energy, and new business models. Its new energy storage business has closely followed the transformation path of China National Petroleum Corporation, providing powerful equipment support for the green development of various oil fields and sales enterprises. This Beidagang 230,000-kilowatt photovoltaic power generation project with its accompanying energy storage system is the result of the deep integration of Jichai Energy Storage and the photovoltaic construction of the Dagang Oilfield.
 

In order to successfully complete the Dagang Oilfield project and meet the product quality requirements for the offshore climate and water surface photovoltaic operation environment, the project team of Jichai Power New Energy Technology Branch Company made every effort to tackle the challenges. They not only raised the product's anti-corrosion level to C5 grade in the design stage, but also actively took actions during the on-site deployment process to efficiently complete the supply and installation of photovoltaic supports, overcoming difficulties such as hot weather and poor on-site conditions. They successfully carried out high-quality installation and commissioning work of the products, laying a solid foundation for the project to be put into operation on schedule.

"According to the project design calculations, after the storage system is put into operation, the annual electricity generation capacity can reach 360 million kilowatt-hours, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 140,000 households. This is of great significance for upgrading the regional energy structure, promoting industrial integration and improving the ecological environment," said Song Chunzhen.
