Apr 19, 2026

According to the latest report released by the Philippine Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA), the overall performance of the Philippine truck market remained stable in 2025. Supported by the continuous advancement of the macroeconomy and infrastructure construction, industry demand remained at a reasonable level, demonstrating strong resilience.

The report shows that the overall sales of trucks in the Philippines in 2025 will be basically the same as those in 2024, and the market will gradually return to normal development after experiencing previous fluctuations. The continuous demand for commercial vehicles from key industries such as logistics, construction, manufacturing and public services has become the main driving force supporting market stability. Meanwhile, the fundamental role of commercial transportation in ensuring trade circulation and economic operation has been further highlighted.

Based on this, TMA is optimistic about the industry's development in 2026. The association stated that as government infrastructure projects continue to advance, logistics demand keeps growing, and investment in fleet renewal and upgrading increases, it is expected that the demand for trucks will be further released.

The chairperson of TMA pointed out that the industry had successfully achieved its set sales targets in 2025, laying a solid foundation for growth in 2026. Against the backdrop of vigorous economic activities, enterprises have the ability to meet the market's demand for efficient and reliable commercial vehicles.

In terms of the development direction of the industry, TMA clearly states that it will focus on promoting the following areas:

First, strengthen road safety construction and promote the standardized development of the industry;

Second, accelerate the promotion and application of environmentally friendly and new energy trucks;

Third, support the development of local modified vehicle manufacturing and parts industries, and improve the industrial chain system;

Fourth, actively participate in relevant government policies and projects to enhance the overall competitiveness of the industry.

In addition, the association also announced the leadership arrangements for 2026, with Robert Carlos serving as the new chairperson and Vicente Mills Jr. Continue to serve as the honorary chairperson to maintain the continuity and stability of the industry's development.

The Philippine truck market is expected to show a development trend of steady progress in 2025. Driven by multiple factors such as infrastructure investment, rising logistics demand and industrial upgrading, it is likely to enter a new growth cycle in 2026.
