What is the Key Technology Behind the XLC18000M

Jan 24, 2025

The Wind Power Industry Receives a New Boost

The wind turbine being installed in this project represents the largest single-unit capacity onshore wind turbine in China. This installation marks another significant achievement for the XLC18000M crane, following its successful debut in Inner Mongolia.

As the installation project progresses to completion, this wind turbine will provide a continuous and reliable supply of green energy to the local big data industrial base, significantly enhancing the region's clean energy supply capabilities. This development holds profound implications for optimizing the energy structure and promoting the green transformation and upgrading of the energy sector.

Technical Proficiency and High Efficiency in Operation

At the construction site, the XLC18000M crawler crane, utilizing a 141+8m standard wind power configuration, successfully completed the hoisting of a wind turbine with a single blade length of 111 meters and a hub center height of 130 meters. During the hoisting process, the tower, nacelle, and rotor were precisely aligned in one seamless operation, showcasing the crane's exceptional operational efficiency and superior construction capabilities. Notably, due to favorable weather conditions, the entire rotor hoisting process was completed in just 30 minutes. This remarkable efficiency can be attributed not only to the operator's exceptional skills but also to the advanced intelligent configurations of the XLC18000M.

Intelligent Configurations Ensure Safety and Reliability
The XLC18000M integrates several intelligent technologies, including hook anti-sway, center of gravity control, and ground pressure ratio warning systems. These features significantly enhance the safety and stability of hoisting operations, providing a robust guarantee for operational efficiency.
Furthermore, the XLC18000M is capable of performing 360° boom lifting under standard working conditions without lateral outriggers. Compared to other equipment of the same tonnage, this design results in less deviation of the center of gravity during boom lifting, reducing reliance on lateral outriggers, improving overall stability, and significantly lowering the stress on the slewing bearing. This further enhances the safety performance of the equipment.
