The Lion Ocean Bridge is a key control project of the Lion Ocean Passage project. The bridge adopts a double deck steel truss suspension bridge scheme with a main span of 2180 meters, which spans the river in one go. It is currently one of the most technically difficult and complex bridges in China and even the world. After completion, it will become the world's largest double deck suspension bridge, creating five world firsts in the main span, number of lanes, main tower height, anchorage foundation, and main cable scale of the double deck suspension bridge.
Previously, various types of Zoomlion equipment such as engineering cranes, concrete pump trucks, and rotary drilling rigs had been extensively used to assist in the construction of the project site. The addition of the world's largest tower crane R20000-720 will undoubtedly provide a more solid equipment guarantee for the project construction.

Prior to the Lion Ocean Bridge project, R20000-720 had already been applied on the Ma'anshan Yangtze River Railway Bridge of the Chaoma Intercity Railway, and had made numerous achievements with its strong lifting capacity, high precision, high safety, and high intelligence. The Ma'anshan Yangtze River Railway Bridge on the Chaoma Intercity Railway is the world's first three tower cable-stayed bridge with double main spans exceeding one kilometer, the world's largest span three tower cable-stayed bridge, and also the world's longest connected steel truss cable-stayed bridge.
Zoomlion makes its debut as the world's largest tower crane
From the successful debut of the first section of steel tower hoisting in September last year, to the successful topping out of the south main tower of the bridge in January this year, R20000-720 overcame the high risks of high-altitude operations, high construction technical standards, and difficulties in three-dimensional intersection construction under complex extreme working conditions such as strong winds, high humidity, and heavy loads, and successfully completed the hoisting of key nodes time and time again, effectively ensuring the smooth progress of the project.
The person in charge of the Zoomlion project introduced, "All steel tower sections of the south main tower of the Ma'anshan Yangtze River Railway Bridge were lifted by our R20000, with a total weight of over 4600 tons, equivalent to more than 100 domestically produced C919 aircraft. In March of this year, R20000 completed the construction task of the Ma'anshan Yangtze River Railway Bridge on the Chaoma Intercity Railway and rushed to the construction site of the Shiziyang Bridge, continuing to contribute to the super project
