CLAAS has won one gold award and four silver awards with its key innovation achievements. Its core innovations focus on enhancing the performance and efficiency of the operation process through advanced automation and partial self-learning functions, while optimizing the drive system under the concept of intelligent integrated machinery. At the Agritechnica 2025, CLAAS once again demonstrated its innovation strength as the world's largest family-owned agricultural machinery enterprise with its multiple innovation achievements in the fields of balers, forage harvesters, and tractors. The company won one gold award and four silver awards this time, with one of the silver awards being for a collaborative project with Einböck. The new products and innovative technologies not only improve the operation efficiency and performance but also significantly reduce the workload of operators. As the world's top-level agricultural machinery exhibition, the Aritechnica provides an international platform for major manufacturers to showcase their latest innovation achievements. The New Product Committee of the German Agricultural Association (DLG) recognizes technologically breakthrough innovations through the gold award, silver award, and Agrifuture Concept Winner award. CLAAS's winning of one gold award and four silver awards (one of which is a collaboration with Einböck) further consolidates its leading position in the field of agricultural technology. The core innovation of CLAAS's winning this time focuses on optimizing the operation efficiency through advanced automation and partial self-learning functions, while enhancing the performance of the power system under the concept of intelligent whole-machine.
Gold Award: Next-Generation Square Baler with a Processing Capacity of up to 70 Tons per Hour
CLAAS won the gold award at the Agritechnica with its next-generation square baler. This model introduces a brand-new overall design concept, pushing the CLAAS baler product line to a new level higher than the QUADRANT series. The bale size of the machine is 120×90 cm, achieving high output while maintaining a stable bale density. In actual operation, when processing straw, it can achieve a maximum operation volume of 70 tons per hour, with a stable bale density of 210 kg/m³ and a peak of 235 kg/m³.
Innovation Highlights:
- New Drive Design: The main gearbox is integrated into the frame with a linear drive, equipped with two longitudinal flywheel energy storages rotating at 1,650 rpm to achieve uniform compaction; power transmission is completed through a high-efficiency, low-loss, wear-resistant enclosed gearbox and two power belts.
- Intelligent Monitoring and Regulation: Sensors continuously monitor the load of the rotor and binding gears, and automatically adjust the AI-assisted bale density control and bale length adjustment.
- Innovative Pre-chamber Feeding: A newly added mechanically driven single-row pusher improves the operation uniformity.
- Double-Loop Knotter: Combining the advantages of McCormick and Deering knotters, it generates a double-loop knot for each binding, achieving firmness and reducing yarn residue. With its innovative drive system, AI-assisted density control, new pre-chamber feeder, and double-loop knotter, this model won the gold award from the DLG Innovation Committee.

The new-generation square baler achieved an operation volume of 70 tons per hour and maintained a bale density of up to 235 kg/m³ in straw operation with its innovative drive design, AI-assisted bale density control, new pre-chamber feeding device, and new double-loop knotter, thus winning the Agritechnica gold award issued by the DLG Innovation Committee.
Silver Award: Innovation of the JAGUAR Series Forage Harvesters
The global forage harvesting market has an increasing demand for high-yield, comfortable, and efficient machines. CLAAS's new JAGUAR 1000 series won the silver award. Its whole-machine concept is specifically designed for the high-performance forage harvesting market. The new platform inherits the design genes of the 900 series while achieving multiple innovations:
The widest chopping drum in the market (910 mm) and a 310-mm-diameter MULTI CROP CRACKER XL
It increases the output by at least 20% compared with the JAGUAR 990, with a maximum fresh material output of up to 500 tons per hour.
Improved Operating Comfort: A silent cab, CEMOS AUTO PERFORMANCE automatic functions, and an optional new joystick
Independent drive of the new ORBIS and PICK UP front-end components, factory-pre-installed tire pressure monitoring, four-wheel drive, and differential lock. Real-time yield measurement at the CEMIS 1200 terminal based on the ISOBUS-based NUTRIMETER NIR sensor
The CLAAS connect cloud system enables whole-machine and fleet management, data recording, and quality management.

The new JAGUAR 1000 forage harvester series won the silver award at Agritechnica with its innovative overall design and numerous excellent functions.
Silver Award: CEMOS AUTO CHOPPING Intelligent Automatic Chopping Control
CEMOS AUTO CHOPPING is a further upgrade of CLAAS's AI-assisted, cloud-based forage chopping quality analysis system. The core innovation is a CMOS image sensor installed at the discharge port, which uses AI to analyze the forage structure and evaluate the grain crushing quality (CSPS value). If the measured value deviates from the target, the system can automatically adjust the crushing roller gap, driving speed, and engine output. The data can be synchronized to CLAAS connect for quality recording and settlement management.

The CEMOS AUTO CHOPPING system, applied to the JAGUAR 900, realizes automatic grain processing control (CSPS value) based on AI-assisted feed analysis and also won the silver award from the DLG Innovation Committee.
Silver Award: Fully Adaptive Predictive Power Transmission Management System (CVT Tractor)
CLAAS has long been leading the development of tractor automation and intelligence. This year's silver-award-winning fully adaptive predictive power management system continuously optimizes the engine speed and gearbox ratio based on self-learning algorithms and efficiency maps of the engine, transmission, hydraulic, and auxiliary systems. The core function of automatic load prediction can detect load changes in advance, such as actively increasing the engine speed before field operation to ensure stable power, save fuel, and make driving smoother and more efficient without manual intervention.

CLAAS's predictive fully adaptive transmission management system, which optimizes the continuously variable tractor gearbox through self-learning algorithms, also won the silver award.
Silver Award: Einböck and CLAAS Collaboration-SMART-HILL Slope Compensation System
This silver award is for a collaborative project between CLAAS and the Austrian company Einböck, which realizes fully automatic slope compensation in mechanical weeding operations. The SMART-HILL system obtains color information and 3D terrain models through the CLAAS CULTI CAM stereo camera to achieve accurate slope detection. The integrated operation computer processes the data in real-time and controls the bogie rotation axis through a proportional valve to keep the tillage tools at a 90° angle to the crop rows at all times. For the first time, reliable operation on sloping land is achieved, enabling mechanical finger tillage to operate efficiently and accurately on slopes. This award once again demonstrates CLAAS's innovation strength and technological leadership in the field of agricultural machinery, improving agricultural production efficiency, operation quality, and operating comfort through intelligence, automation, and collaborative innovation.
