At IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover, Germany, Cummins and its zero-carbon brand Accelera™ announced that they would further expand their battery manufacturing capacity in Europe. At the same time, Cummins also showcased a portfolio of innovative products and solutions covering multiple power technology routes, providing customers with more flexible and diverse power options to meet the needs of different application scenarios and calmly respond to the changes in the transportation industry.

The Spanish factory will produce a new generation of LFP battery platform for the commercial vehicle market, suitable for high-intensity operation scenarios such as buses and trucks. At the press conference, Cummins also highlighted the multi-fuel engine HELM™ platform. The products showcased at this exhibition include the brand-new HELM™ B7.2 engine. This product is built on Cummins' long-proven and widely recognized successful engine platform. While meeting the constantly upgrading emission regulations, it also takes into account outstanding performance, high reliability and availability.
Cummins also showcased the X15N heavy-duty natural gas engine for the first time in Europe, providing customers with a low-carbon power solution that can be put into immediate use.
In addition, Cummins also demonstrated the hybrid capabilities of the X10 platform. As the first HELM™ platform engine launched by Cummins in Europe, the X10 adopts a unified architecture design, which can support advanced diesel power and potential future low-carbon fuel solutions, meeting the constantly evolving market demands. The X10 is developed in accordance with strict global emission standards including Euro 7. While achieving high power density, it further enhances fuel efficiency, enabling customers to upgrade to other platforms with 10 to meet performance requirements that would otherwise require 11-liter or 13-liter engines.
The B7.2, X10 and X15N models fully demonstrate Cummins' technological layout in the multi-power field, providing customers with more choices and helping them achieve their business and sustainable development goals.

Empower performance and operational efficiency improvement
Cummins' components business showcased a number of innovative technologies and solutions covering the powertrain and vehicle systems, helping to enhance vehicle performance, operational efficiency and reliability, and assisting customers in meeting future emission regulations while reducing total cost of ownership.
Among them, the U-Module™ after-treatment system that meets the requirements of Euro 7 and Indian BS-VII emission regulations was showcased along with the X10 and B7.2 engines. In addition, the Meritor® 17X HE heavy-duty drive axle and the MIS-09 ProTec™ front independent suspension system for the bus and long-distance passenger transport markets were also on display simultaneously.
Cummins also showcased an integrated engine technology covering areas such as turbocharging, valve train, fuel systems, software and electronic control. These technologies fully demonstrate Cummins' profound strength in the field of system integration. Through the collaborative optimization of the vehicle and the power system, they continuously enhance the performance of the engine and the entire vehicle.
