On May 14th, the company successfully held its "Dongfeng Cummins 30 Years: Powering Extraordinary Achievements" 30th-anniversary live event and customer appreciation program. Looking back, in 1986 Dongfeng Motor (formerly the Second Automobile Manufacturing Plant) began its collaboration with Cummins, marking the start of construction for Dongfeng's diesel engine plant and launching a journey to deliver advanced power technology services to China's transportation industry. In 1996, Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. was officially established, deepening the partnership between Dongfeng and Cummins. In 2003, Dongfeng and Cummins renewed their cooperation by signing an expanded framework agreement, leading to the proud establishment of the newly capitalized Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co., Ltd., which then entered a fast track of diversified development. In 2007, the company successfully rolled out its one millionth engine. To date, it has delivered over 4.3 million engines to customers, achieving a leapfrog evolution-from technology introduction to innovation-driven expansion, and from a single product to comprehensive market coverage.

Since the beginning of 2026, Dongfeng Cummins has maintained its growth momentum, with orders consistently surging and production and sales thriving. In the first quarter, engine sales strongly surpassed 64,000 units, up 14.6% year-on-year, and total sales for the first half of the year are expected to exceed 130,000 units. Notably, the construction machinery and power generation sectors have delivered outstanding performance, both achieving record-high sales volumes and becoming key drivers of growth. Behind these impressive results lies Dongfeng Cummins' deep industry insight and continuous enhancement of product capabilities.
The Z16N natural gas high-power engine, launched in the second half of 2025, is specifically designed for long-haul truck transportation, delivering stronger power, lower fuel consumption, and superior reliability. With a planned maximum output of 720 horsepower and peak torque of 3,200 N·m, it combines fuel efficiency with low operating costs, redefining the new benchmark for premium natural gas power.
The Dongfeng Qiankun new models, recently launched in Chengdu, Nanjing, Beijing, Urumqi, and Xiangyang, equipped with Dongfeng Cummins D2.5/D3.0 engines, have quickly gained market popularity since their release. The D2.5/D3.0 engines are precisely tailored to the light-duty truck segment, earning widespread recognition from end users thanks to their reliable power output, excellent fuel efficiency, and lightweight design, injecting fresh momentum into the industry.
