Since the end of April, the Anhui Xuanjing Expressway Phase 1 project has started asphalt compaction operations. Both sections 01 and 03 of the project are being constructed using Sany unmanned compaction machinery. The accumulated working area has reached 30 kilometers, and the asphalt lower layer operation has been basically completed. The compaction construction of the middle layer will gradually begin.
During the construction process in May, the characteristics of high efficiency and good quality of the unmanned compaction machine group were fully reflected, with a daily construction mileage of up to 1.8 kilometers. Through comparative experiments, the construction flatness was better than manual labor, and it was highly recognized by the customer.

The unmanned asphalt construction of Xuanjing Expressway has three outstanding characteristics: achieving complete delivery, the most comprehensive technical application, and unmanned application throughout the entire line.

Achieve complete delivery
The application of the unmanned aerial vehicle fleet for the 03 section of the Xuanjing Expressway has been completely separated from Sany R&D personnel and operated independently by technical personnel from Anhui Liju Group.
This is another major milestone since Sany delivered the first set of National IV intelligent pressure spreading machine equipment to Liju Group in November 2023, proving that Sany's unmanned pressure spreading machine is no longer a "precision instrument" that can only be operated by R&D personnel, but has become a product that can be independently used by customers.

The most comprehensive application of technology
In addition to using standard unmanned driving technology, the fleet of the 01 and 03 sections of the Xuanjing Expressway is also equipped with a series of single machine intelligent systems developed by Sany, including paver assisted driving, automatic extension and retraction of the ironing board, roller fusion edging, and 360 active safety. This further reduces the number of on-site auxiliary workers and improves work safety and quality.

Unmanned application throughout the entire line
The first phase of Xuanjing Expressway is divided into three sections, and unmanned paving and rolling machines are used for asphalt pavement paving and rolling operations along the entire line. Both Section 01 and Section 03 are equipped with Sany unmanned pressure equipment.
The comprehensive application of unmanned compaction technology in all sections of the Xuanjing Expressway for regular construction not only leads the country, but also marks that through the unremitting efforts of peers in the past few years, unmanned compaction technology is no longer just a "gimmick" that exists in various observation and demonstration meetings, but is truly moving towards industry application.

In the next two months, the unmanned aerial vehicle fleet will continue to be busy on the Xuanjing Expressway.
