On October 14, 2025, on the occasion of the 42nd International Day of the Blind (also known as White Cane Day), a disability assistance public welfare activity with the theme of Seeing the World with the Blind was tenderly launched at Xi'an Cummins.
A total of 55 visually and hearing impaired individuals were invited to this event, along with 15 public welfare volunteers and 20 volunteers from Xi'an Cummins. Through interactive communication, they broke down barriers and jointly built a warm bridge for the integration of the disabled and the able bodied.

According to statistics, among the 17 million visually impaired people in China, 85% face difficulties in mobility and information acquisition. The Seeing project precisely focuses on this pain point. Through forms such as enterprise visits and interactive exchanges, it helps visually impaired individuals enhance their social adaptability and promotes the construction of a barrier-free social environment and the popularization of the concept of disabled and able-bodied integration.
This event specially chose the special date of the International Day of the Blind to build a platform for visually impaired and hearing-impaired groups to enter enterprises and experience social care, making the charity action more ceremonious and influential. As an enterprise that has long been concerned about the rights of visually impaired people, Xi'an Cummins has continuously supported the Shaanxi White Stick Visually Impaired Service Center in carrying out the Seeing series of integration assistance activities for the disabled for three consecutive years. Through a series of concrete companionship, it opens a multi-dimensional window for blind children to understand the world.
Xi'an Cummins has always been committed to practicing its commitment to charity. It has established a special program to hire professional teachers for blind children to teach them practical life skills step by step. It regularly organizes blind children's music festivals and holds parent classes for blind children, allowing the children to gain confidence through melodies and sharing educational methods and psychological counseling techniques for visually impaired children. Moreover, it takes the blind children out of their confined spaces and exposes them to different environments such as fire stations and cinemas to explore the world, broaden their horizons and gain new knowledge, gradually building the courage and ability to live independently.

On the day of the event, from the early morning's assembly preparations to the afternoon's safe return, every step was carefully considered. At exactly 9 o'clock, the event officially began. The host and the sign language host worked in perfect harmony, introducing the background of the event and the leaders of Cummins who participated, so that the hearing-impaired group could also obtain the information simultaneously.
The Party Secretary and Chief Financial Officer of Xi'an Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. on behalf of all the company's employees extended a warm welcome and festive greetings to the Shaanxi White Stick Project team and the special groups.
