To start the diesel generator set with electricity, the steps are: check whether the electric shock contact such as the starting motor and the electromagnetic control mechanism is good. Check that the power cable is correct. Check whether there is dirt or oxidation on the battery terminal, and polish it clean. Check whether the electro-hydraulic specific gravity of the starting battery is in the range of 1.240 to 1.280. If the specific gravity is less than 1.180, the battery is insufficient.

Check the alternator installation as follows:

When installing the generator, it is necessary to ensure that the cooling air inlet is unimpeded, and to prevent the discharged hot air from entering the generator again. If there are shutters on the ventilation cover, the window should face down to meet the requirements of the protection level. The mechanical coupling of single bearing generator should pay special attention to the uniform air gap between stator and rotor.

The alternator is coupled with the diesel generator, and the parallelism and concentricity of the coupling are required to be less than 0.05mm. In actual use, it is required to be slightly lower, within about 0.1mm, too much back to affect the normal operation of the bearing, resulting in damage, and the coupling should be fixed with the positioning pin. Retest the coupling before installation.

There are U, V, W, N marks on the terminal in the generator outlet box, which does not mean that the actual phase sequence depends on the rotation direction. It is printed on the certificate that UVW represents the actual phase sequence when rotating clockwise, and VUW represents the actual phase sequence when rotating counterclockwise.

When the sliding bearing generator is coupled, the height of the generator center should be adjusted to the center of your diesel engine slightly, so that the weight of the flywheel on the diesel engine will not be transferred to the generator bearing, otherwise the generator bearing will bear the extra weight of the flywheel, which is not conducive to the formation of the sliding bearing oil film, leading to heating and even burning the bearing. The coupling of this type of generator should not carry any heavy objects.

If the neutral points of each generator in the power supply system are connected to each other, or the neutral point of the generator is connected to the transformer and its load neutral point, the neutral line current of 3 times the frequency of the line will be emitted during the operation of the unit. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the midline current of the generator under various load conditions that may occur in operation. In order to prevent the operation of the generator from overheating, the line current shall not exceed 50% of the rated current bottom of the generator. The power of the center line is too large, and the center line reactor should be installed on the center line to limit it.

According to the schematic diagram or wiring diagram, select the appropriate power cable and connect it with a copper connector. After the copper connector and the bus bar are fixed, the local gap at the junction is not more than 0.05mm, and the distance between the wires is not more than 10mm. The necessary ground cable must be installed.
