One wire connects to the positive terminal of the power supply, while the other wire, which serves as the signal line, connects to the negative terminal of the power supply via an instrument. Three-Wire Configuration: The three-wire configuration builds upon the two-wire system by adding an additional wire that directly connects to the negative terminal of the power supply. This configuration is slightly more complex than the two-wire system but still manageable. 3. Four-Wire Configuration: Four-wire pressure sensors have two power input terminals and two signal output terminals. Most four-wire systems provide voltage output rather than 4-20mA output. Sensors with 4-20mA output are referred to as pressure transmitters and are predominantly designed as two-wire systems. 4.
