This type of bearing usually adopts a sliding bearing with liquid friction as the theoretical basis, which forms an oil film between the journal and the bearing through lubricating oil under certain pressure, establishing liquid friction and ensuring the safe and stable operation of the steam turbine. The function of the auxiliary bearing is similar to that of the main bearing, which also supports the rotor and bears the centrifugal force generated by its weight and unbalanced weight, maintaining the centerline of the rotor in a certain position.
