20th Anniversary Celebration of Dr. Lin Weizi's Cummins Education Program

The Cummins Lin Weizi Dr. Education Project, a public welfare project dedicated to supporting the education of female engineering students, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. At this milestone moment, the project takes a fresh perspective on the future and delves into how to further empower female engineering students, injecting new energy into their future development.

 

During the celebration event, Nathan Stoner, Vice President of Cummins Global and Chairman of Cummins (China) Investment Co., Ltd., reviewed the project's unremitting efforts and outstanding achievements in promoting the transformation of women from engineering students to engineers.

 

He stated that Cummins has always adhered to corporate responsibility, and the development of women in engineering and technology is one of the long-term areas of concern for the company. Cummins has always used its advantages and expertise to help them face challenges, hoping that Cummins' efforts can create more opportunities for women in engineering and technology and bring more positive impacts to the sustainable development of the industry.

Cummins' support for female engineering students is not limited to financial aid, but also includes profound reflections on the future development of the industry. The celebration specially arranged a "Career Development Exploration Workshop for Engineering Girls", inviting senior industry experts to guide participants in career exploration, helping engineering girls discover themselves, enhance confidence, and prepare for their future engineering careers.

 

The Cummins Lin Weizi PhD Scholarship provides funding to over 100 female engineering students from 13 top engineering universities in China every year. Over the past 20 years, the cumulative funding amount has reached 1.17 million US dollars, with more than 1600 female engineering students receiving scholarships, over 5000 female students benefiting, and over 20000 students participating in public welfare activities organized by Cummins.
