Recently, Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) has completed the acquisition of RPMGlobal Holdings Limited (ASX: RUL), an Australian mining software company. This acquisition will further expand Caterpillar's portfolio of data-driven mining technology and software solutions, helping customers plan, operate and manage mines more efficiently.
RPMGlobal has extensive experience in the field of mining technology empowerment, providing customers with data-driven software solutions that span the mining value chain. Caterpillar announced in October 2025 its intention to acquire RPMGlobal.
