Tool Introduction
Before starting, the following tools need to be prepared:
Special wrench for clamp rings, clean diesel, clean cloth, 8mm Allen wrench (special for hand pumps)
Maintenance parts: Filter element + sealing ring
1,Remove the filter housing
1. Disconnect the wiring harness connector of the water level sensor/heater.
2. Loosen the water drain valve by hand (Figure 1), drain the fuel in the filter, and then tighten the water drain valve by hand (do not apply too much force when tightening).
3. Use a special wrench for the retaining ring to loosen it counterclockwise (Figure 1). After loosening, gently shake the casing and remove it together with the old filter element and the casing.

2, Replace the filter element
1.Remove the old filter element and take off the old "O" ring seal on the housing.
2. Use a clean cloth to wipe the impurities inside the shell, on the threads and at the threads of the filter seat clean.
3. After lubricating the new "O" ring with clean diesel oil, install it into the sealing groove on the housing.
4. Lubricate the sealing ring on the new filter element with diesel oil and then install the filter element into the housing. When installing, keep the one-way valve hole of the filter element on the right side of the arrow on the housing.
5. Install the new filter element along with the housing onto the base. During installation, make sure that the check valve on the filter element is concentrically aligned with the check valve hole on the base. If it is not fully assembled, slightly rotate the filter element until the housing is in close contact with the end face. This also indicates that the filter element is properly assembled.
6. After assembly, use the retaining ring to pre-tighten the housing onto the filter seat. Tighten it by hand until it can no longer be tightened. Then, use a special wrench to tighten the retaining ring clockwise until the lock gauge on the retaining ring is close to Max (Figure 2).

3, Fuel System exhaust
After the filter element is replaced, the oil-water separator and the inlet and outlet oil pipes need to be vented. The venting methods for the electric pump/hand pump models are as follows：
Exhaust of electric pump products
1．Place the car key in the "ON" position, power on the entire vehicle, and start the electric pump to pump oil and exhaust.
2.After the electric pump of the oil-water separator pumps oil, if there are no obvious bubbles in the oil outlet pipeline, the exhaust of the fuel system is completed. If there are still a large number of bubbles in the oil outlet pipeline after the electric pump stops pumping oil, plug and unplug the electric pump connector again and repeat the oil pumping until there are no obvious bubbles in the oil outlet pipeline. To empty the fuel coarse filter and the gas in the pipeline, the electric pump usually needs to be started twice.
3.After the exhaust is completed, reset the water level sensor/heater wiring harness connector, start the engine, and check whether there is any leakage in the oil pipe and the oil-water separator. If not, the filter element replacement is complete.
Exhaust of hand pump products
1. Use an 8mm Allen wrench to unscrew the oil outlet plug of the filter.
2. Then, continuously push the hand pump by hand to start pumping oil and venting. Observe the fuel outlet of the filter. If there is a continuous flow of fuel from the fuel outlet of the filter, the fuel system exhaust is complete.
3. Re-block the fuel outlet and wipe the fuel that flows out during the exhaust process clean.
4.After the exhaust is completed, reset the water level sensor/heater wiring harness connector, start the engine, and check whether there is any leakage in the oil pipe and the oil-water separator. If not, the filter element replacement is complete.
