On January 6, the num.48 vessel, a 210,000-ton ammonia-ready bulk carrier built by Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), for the Belgian company CMB NV, embarked on its sea trials. This vessel has a designed overall length of 300 meters, a depth of 25.2 meters, a structural draught of 18.4 meters, and a service speed of 14.5 knots. The vessel is equipped with an ammonia fuel-ready system, further solidifying Beihai Shipbuilding's leadership in this specialized market segment.
