Recently, Liugong was awarded the title of "Advanced Collective in China's Polar Expedition" by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Natural Resources. This honor is not only an authoritative recognition of Liugong's 17-year continuous dedication to providing equipment support and technical services for polar scientific research, but also a vivid portrayal of Liugong's commitment to extending human power with intelligent and green machinery to the extreme ice fields.
Facing the predicament of long-term reliance on imported polar equipment in the past, Liugong has taken it as its responsibility to promote the localization of polar engineering equipment and enhance China's polar scientific research capabilities. It has cumulatively provided 41 sets of engineering machinery and equipment in 8 major categories to land in the South Pole. In response to the special working conditions in polar regions, Liugong has carried out customized modifications of attachments and technological upgrades of products. This not only efficiently completed a series of infrastructure projects such as material transportation, site leveling, crushing, and drilling, but also contributed to the zero-fault operation of major projects like the Qinling Station.
In 2018, the first and only Chinese polar scientific research engineering machinery laboratory in the construction machinery industry was inaugurated at the Experimental center of Liugong's Global R&D Center. In 2022, Liugong and the Polar Research Institute of China jointly established the Polar Engineering Technology Innovation Center to support the research and development and demonstration application of technologies related to polar work.
Since the first dispatch of mechanics to participate in polar scientific research in 2008, Liugong has established a mechanism for the selection and training of mechanics, organizing and cultivating 17 batches of 43 technical experts to go to the North and South Poles, providing solid talent support for polar scientific research tasks. Liugong has also continuously held the "Chasing Dreams in Antarctica" - National Earthwork Machinery Operation Skills Competition, providing a continuous supply of fresh forces for the polar scientific research logistics support team.
During the magnificent 40-plus-year journey of China's polar scientific research, Liugong has spent 17 years of perseverance and breakthroughs, laying a solid foundation of domestic equipment for conquering the unattainable poles of mankind. As the first enterprise in the industry to sign a strategic cooperation agreement with the Polar Research Institute of China, Liugong will uphold a high sense of social responsibility, focus on upgrading polar scientific research equipment and services, and contribute Liugong's strength to the polar scientific research cause reaching new heights!
