Cummins' Latest Multi Power Matrix Is About To Debut At The Hanover Commercial Auto Show

Sep 05, 2024

At the upcoming IAA Transportation in September, Cummins will showcase its comprehensive range of power solutions to help truck manufacturers reduce emissions and meet the upcoming Euro 7 and EU CO ₂ HDV standards for heavy-duty vehicles. Cummins booth is located in Hall 19/20, booth A22.

The Hanover Commercial Car Show will be held in Hanover, Germany from September 17th to 22nd. At that time, the Cummins booth will showcase its rich and diverse powertrain matrix to the audience, including advanced diesel engines for Euro 7 emissions standards, zero carbon hydrogen engines, and Accelera ™ Electric and hydrogen fuel cell technology. In addition, the company will also showcase powertrain technologies including rear drive axles, electric drive axles, and brakes.

Cummins Chairman and CEO Jennifer Rumsey said:

As the European commercial vehicle industry moves towards Euro 7 and heavy-duty vehicle carbon dioxide emission standards, the choice of energy technology has become increasingly complex and challenging. Cummins is committed to providing industry-leading diversified power solutions that meet the performance, reliability, and full lifecycle cost needs of customers and the transportation industry while reducing exhaust and greenhouse gas emissions

Cummins' diversified power solutions demonstrate the company's firm commitment to the "zero carbon goal". This strategy aims to further expand the zero emission product line and create a wider range of powertrain technologies while driving continuous innovation in existing engine technologies. Promote the matching of technology applications with infrastructure, provide practical, flexible, and diverse choices for OEM customers, and meet the increasingly stringent regulatory requirements to be implemented in Europe.

The Cummins powertrain system is a major highlight of this exhibition, including the X10 engine for Euro 7 emissions standards, X15H hydrogen internal combustion engine, as well as the latest after treatment system, Eaton Cummins transmission, Meritor MIS-10 independent suspension system, 17X HE rear axle, and ELSA 225H pneumatic disc brake. These technologies aim to improve fuel efficiency, reduce exhaust emissions, and enhance vehicle performance, helping the industry smoothly transition to Euro 7 and heavy-duty vehicle carbon dioxide emission standards.

Cummins will also showcase its latest research and development of electric turbochargers, electric air compressors, hydrogen circulation pumps, fuel cell injectors, and fuel cell injectors, demonstrating the company's firm commitment to promoting the development of the hydrogen energy ecosystem. These components adopt innovative designs aimed at improving fuel cell efficiency, reducing operating noise, and enhancing reliability. Cummins' joint venture with ETC, NPROXX, will also showcase its latest IV type hydrogen fuel storage system.

In addition to product display, the audience can also learn about Cummins' latest products and technologies through virtual interaction, including valve control technology, turbochargers, urea injection systems, and axles.
