On September 8th, 2025, the grand opening ceremony of Cummins China's Global Distribution Center was held in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. Over 100 guests from original equipment manufacturers, customers, suppliers, government and media gathered together to witness this milestone event.
As an important support for Cummins to provide users with full lifecycle support, the new location of the distribution center has expanded from 12,000 square meters to 30,000 square meters. The factory's overseas component support center and the supply chain solution design center (including supplier overseas operations and digitalization) were simultaneously completed. All three centers are affiliated to Cummins Smart Supply Chain (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The completion of the new location marks that Cummins, after 50 years of deep-rooted presence in China, and has once again pressed the accelerator to root in China and connect globally at this stage.

In 2024, the Original Cummins Engine Trading Company was renamed Cummins Smart Supply Chain (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The change in name also indicates a significant transformation in the company's business. The registered business scope of the company has expanded from mainly domestic international trade to the design and provision of intelligent supply chain solutions for Industry 4.0, the design and development of digital artificial intelligence software, the establishment of a supply chain ecosystem, thereby driving the joint transformation and upgrading of the industrial chain. It has upgraded from the traditional warehouse to a comprehensive hub that integrates spare parts distribution, overseas support, and digitalized solutions.
