On June 30 local time, Sany's manufacturing base in Campinas, São Paulo State, Brazil, successfully completed the assembly and launch of excavators and commercial vehicle products. As a key project in its global strategic layout, this milestone marks a further substantial breakthrough for Sany in advancing its overseas localized manufacturing system and represents a crucial step forward in deepening its presence in the Latin American market.
Clear project planning and rational capacity layout
The Sany Brazil manufacturing plant covers a total area of 350,000 square meters. The first phase of the project includes two assembly lines for excavators and commercial vehicles, with an overall designed annual production capacity of 3,500 units. Specifically, it plans to produce 1,500 excavators and 2,000 commercial vehicles annually.
Local Manufacturing Empowers, Highlighting Value Advantages
By leveraging localized manufacturing bases, Sany will effectively reduce cross-border logistics and import tariff costs, shorten delivery cycles, and quickly respond to customized demands in regional markets. At the same time, the base will establish a comprehensive local operational system covering production, supply, sales, and service, further strengthening Sany's supply chain resilience and market competitiveness in Latin America. Since entering the Brazilian market, Sany has consistently followed its global development strategy of local sales, local manufacturing, local service. Long-term strategic expansion to reach Latin American markets
Cao Te, Chairman of the Latin America Region, and Chen Wei, Project Director, introduced that the first-phase production line has already achieved basic manufacturing capacity. The second-phase base development is now underway simultaneously, with plans to gradually introduce more product categories in the future, continuously enriching the localized product portfolio. Going forward, Sany will position its Campinas manufacturing base as a regional hub, building a model overseas smart factory that demonstrates advanced capabilities.
