The reporter recently learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that since 2024, China has accelerated the transformation and upgrading of the construction machinery industry through the improvement of standards. Around the transformation towards electrification, intelligence, and green development, 20 new national standards have been released and 13 are currently under research, playing a positive role in enhancing industrial competitiveness and serving the high-quality development of the industry.
The relevant person in charge of the State Administration for Market Regulation introduced that in August last year, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued the first batch of seven national standards for electric engineering machinery, including "Terminology for Electric Earthmoving Machinery" and "Pure Electric Hydraulic Excavators for High altitude Tunnels of Earthmoving Machinery", covering terminology, complete machine products, energy consumption test methods, and power battery safety, filling the gap in the standard of the electric engineering machinery industry chain. At the end of the same year, 10 national standards for electric engineering machinery, including "Hybrid Hydraulic Excavator for Earthmoving Machinery" and "Hybrid Tire Loader for Earthmoving Machinery", were successively released, covering technical requirements and testing methods for pure electric and hybrid products of hydraulic excavators, tire loaders, off-road wide body dump trucks, and off-road mining dump trucks, further improving the standard system for electric engineering machinery. The introduction of a series of standards marks a new stage of standardization and systematization in China's electrification transformation of construction machinery, injecting strong momentum into the green upgrade of the world's largest construction machinery manufacturing base.
It is reported that the newly released and implemented series of standards for electric engineering machinery play a prominent role in ensuring product quality, improving industrial chain efficiency, and regulating market order.

Secondly, by setting energy efficiency grading indicators, resources have been concentrated towards top enterprises, and the top five companies in the field of electric engineering machinery have a market share of over 75% and accelerate the clearance of outdated production capacity. At the same time, the standard provides technical basis for the procurement of equipment for major national engineering projects. Electric engineering machinery products such as excavators, loaders, and tunneling machines have been rapidly applied in major national engineering projects such as the Sichuan- Tibet Railway, successfully solving problems such as decreased output power of engineering machinery in high-altitude environments, high transportation costs of key components and oil materials.
In addition, by actively promoting the conversion of foreign versions of national standards and promoting mutual recognition of standards, Zoomlion's pure electric mixer trucks have successfully entered the German market by complying with the EU CE certification standards, helping Chinese enterprises "go global". Guangxi Liugong relies on the ASEAN standard mutual recognition mechanism to promote and apply Chinese standards in ASEAN countries, achieving a market share of over 24% for electric loader products in Indonesia.
Since the beginning of this year, many enterprises in the machinery industry have achieved a good start.
