The LEXION Series Combine Harvesters Set A New Milestone in Corn Harvesting in 10 Hours

Mar 03, 2026

In agricultural production, what truly tests a combine harvester is not only its instantaneous efficiency but also its stability and reliability during high-intensity and long-duration operations.

Recently, Chad Henderson, a corn grower in Madison, Alabama, USA, wanted to verify the continuous operation capability of the LEXION 8600 TT. He has approximately 207 mu (310 acres) of contiguous corn fields and has formed an efficient operation team.

After about 10 hours of continuous operation, the Henderson team successfully harvested approximately 1,454 tons (57,299.34 bushels) of corn, with an average yield of about 7 tons per mu and fuel consumption of only about 8 liters per mu (0.87 gallons per acre). This achievement broke the previous 10-hour harvest record of approximately 1,378 tons (54,302.97 bushels) set by Stewart Farms in Farmers City, Illinois, using a LEXION 760 TT.

It is worth mentioning that the 8-hour corn harvest record is still held by Blake Johnson from a farm near Holdrege, Nebraska, using a LEXION 8600TT, with a result of approximately 1,472 tons (57,926.76 bushels). The stable performance across different operation timeframes once again confirms the consistent high-level continuous operation capability of the LEXION series.

Ryan Bass, the regional manager of CLAAS in North America, said:

"Such an achievement is not accidental. It stems from meticulous operation planning, seamless teamwork, and a high-performance machine that can operate stably for a long time."

For CLAAS, this is not only a record but also a validation of the long-term high efficiency, stability, and reliability of the LEXION combine harvester. Whether in the United States or China, the core expectation of agricultural producers for harvesting equipment remains the same: no downtime at critical moments and no compromise in performance during long hours of operation.

The strength of LEXION is the best demonstration of CLAAS's consistent commitment to technological innovation and the success of its users. Because for harvesting, what truly matters is not just a moment of brilliance, but the reliable control of the harvesting rhythm during every busy farming period.
