In August, the monthly power output of Jichai Power Co., Ltd.'s clean alternative energy service project surpassed 10 million kWh for the first time. This achievement is closely tied to the market recognition of the company's self-developed hybrid power system for electric fracturing-combining gas-fired power generation with energy storage. The system has already been deployed at scale in fracturing sites in Daqing, Heilongjiang, and Karamay, Xinjiang.

The hybrid power system for electric fracturing consists of Jichai's self-developed gas generator sets paired with electrochemical energy storage units, providing continuous and stable power supply to electric fracturing pumps. It represents a precise response by the company to market demands in drilling and fracturing industries, leveraging its strengths in R&D and manufacturing of gas generator sets and new energy storage technologies.
"Electricity cost per kWh drops by more than 0.6 yuan, while the footprint of the equipment is reduced by nearly one-third," said Zhang Jiliang, project manager at Jichai Power Sales Company. Compared to traditional diesel- or pure gas-powered fracturing operations, this system features an intelligent power management system that dynamically adjusts power output, improving generator efficiency by over 16% under fracturing conditions and reducing overall carbon emissions by at least 40%.

Aligned with the green transformation trend in oil and gas development and backed by significant economic advantages, Jichai Power's hybrid system for electric fracturing has gained strong market traction.
At the GuLong shale oil national demonstration zone in Daqing Oilfield, a hybrid power system composed of 60 300-kW gas generator sets and six 5 MWh energy storage units continuously supplies stable power to 12 5,000-horsepower electric fracturing pumps.

"This system enables intelligent control of generator sets, energy storage devices, and central control systems, helping us solve the challenge of coordinating gas and storage loads under complex operating conditions and ensuring stable operation of the entire power station," said on-site personnel.
At the Mahu shale oil block in Xinjiang Oilfield, a 24 MW hybrid power plant equipped with Jichai Power's "gas generation + energy storage" system has cumulatively generated over 4.5 million kWh of electricity.

The hybrid system innovatively adopts a series-connected operational mode, supported by intelligent energy management tools that dynamically optimize load distribution. This provides remote fracturing sites with unstable power supply a reliable, efficient, green, and smart power solution, significantly advancing low-carbon transformation and development at Xinjiang Oilfield.

"Currently, we are focusing on the market demands of Daqing and Xinjiang oilfields, implementing differentiated and precise alignment through integrated turnkey service cooperation. To date, we have deployed 204 300-kilowatt gas generator sets and 24 energy storage units with a total installed capacity exceeding 120 megawatts, capable of meeting the power needs of at least four fracturing operations simultaneously", said Zhang Jiliang.
