Quality inspection national standards
1. National standard for vibration acceleration (commonly known as Z-standard)
This standard was established relatively early to determine the quality level of bearings by measuring the vibration acceleration value during bearing rotation. It is divided into three quality levels: Z1, Z2, and Z3, from low to high. At present, domestic bearing manufacturers are still using vibration acceleration values to measure the quality of bearings, which simply reflects the fatigue life of bearings.
2. Vibration speed standard (commonly known as V-standard)
Due to the fact that the original vibration acceleration standard has not been abolished, this standard appeared as a standard issued by the Ministry of Machinery Industry, and was formulated based on European standards combined with China's actual situation and needs. The quality level of bearings is divided based on the detection of bearing vibration speed (equivalent to national standards). It is divided into five quality levels: V, V1, V2, V3, and V4. The quality level of various ball bearings is V from low to high V1,V2,V3,V4 ; The quality grades of roller bearings (cylindrical and conical) are divided into four levels from low to high: V, V1, V2, and V3.
It reflects the quality of bearings by detecting the vibration and velocity of bearings in different frequency bands (low frequency, medium frequency, high frequency). It is possible to roughly analyze whether there are geometric dimension issues (such as elliptical steel rings), quality issues with raceways/rolling elements, and quality issues with retainers in bearings, which has made significant progress compared to using vibration acceleration to examine bearing quality. At present, bearings exported to Europe in China, as well as our military and aerospace industry, all undergo bearing quality testing according to this standard. At the same time, testing the quality of European imported bearings and identifying counterfeit imported bearings provide feasible means.
There are two parallel standards for bearing quality inspection, and bearings with a high quality level of "Z standard" may not have good quality performance when tested with "V standard", and there is no corresponding relationship between the two. This requires special attention in the quality inspection of bearings.
Quality discrimination
To distinguish the quality of equipment bearings, we usually approach it from the following aspects:
1. Is the outer packaging clear
In general, brands produced by legitimate manufacturers have their own dedicated designers to design external packaging and arrange factories with qualified production conditions for production. Therefore, the packaging of products, from lines to color blocks, should be very clear and unambiguous.
2. Is the steel seal clear
Each bearing product will have its brand name, label, etc. printed on the bearing body. Although the font is very small, products produced by legitimate manufacturers use steel stamping technology for printing, and are pressed before overheating treatment. Therefore, although the font is small, it is deeply concave and very clear. In general, the font of counterfeit products is not only blurry, but due to rough printing technology, the font floats on the surface, and some can even be easily wiped off by hand or have serious hand marks.
3. Is there any noise
Grasp the inner sleeve of the bearing with your left hand, and gently rotate the outer sleeve with your right hand to hear if there is any noise during the operation of the bearing. Due to the outdated production conditions of most counterfeit products and the complete manual workshop operation, it is inevitable that impurities such as dust and sand will be mixed into the bearing body during the production process. Therefore, there will be noise or unsmooth operation when the bearing rotates. This is the key to determining whether the product comes from a branded product of a reputable manufacturer with strict production standards and machine operation.
4. Surface
We should pay special attention to whether there are cloudy oil stains on the surface when purchasing imported bearings. Due to the gap between domestic rust prevention technology and advanced manufacturing countries abroad, it is easy to leave thick oil marks on the bearing body when rust prevention treatment is carried out. When touched by hand, it feels sticky and viscous, while there are almost no traces of rust prevention oil on imported bearings from abroad. According to industry insiders, those who are particularly careful can smell a special smell on imported bearings, which is the smell of rust proof oil.
5. Is the chamfer even
The so-called chamfer of bearings refers to the intersection between the horizontal and vertical surfaces. Counterfeit bearing products, due to production technology limitations, are not handled satisfactorily at these edges and corners, which we can easily distinguish.
6. Packaging
Bearing packaging is divided into inner packaging and outer packaging
After the bearing is manufactured and inspected as qualified, it is cleaned and rust proof before being placed in the inner packaging to achieve the goals of waterproofing, moisture-proof, dust-proof, impact resistant, maintaining the quality and accuracy of the bearing, and facilitating use and sales.
The inner packaging of bearings is divided into three categories according to the rust prevention period:
① Short rust prevention packaging: The rust prevention period is 3-6 months, suitable for bearings that are shipped in large quantities to the same customer and can be put into use in a short period of time. By mutual agreement, based on the principle of convenience of use, simple packaging will be adopted.
② General anti rust packaging: The anti rust period is one year, suitable for general purpose bearings.
③ Long rust proof packaging: with a rust proof period of two years, suitable for special and precision bearings.
The packaging materials for bearings include polyethylene plastic tubes (boxes), kraft paper, plain and wrinkled polyethylene composite paper, paper boxes, polyethylene or polyethylene plastic films, nylon or plastic woven fastening tapes, waterproof high-strength plastic tapes, burlap bags, etc. The above materials must ensure that their corrosion resistance test is qualified.
