We have established three major production bases in China, namely Dongfeng Cummins, Xi 'an Cummins and Anhui Cummins, covering all types of light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles. 1. Traditional diesel power (market mainstay)
Displacement covers 2.515L, power range 46,700 horsepower, mainstream classic platform:
-B Series (B3.8/B6.7): Main power for small and medium-sized excavators, loaders, sand and gravel crushing equipment, and light trucks;
The X15QSK60 heavy-duty series: It is the main recommended model for mining dump trucks, large crushers, ball mills, large generator sets, and ocean-going vessels. The new generation X15 supports multi-fuel compatibility including diesel, biofuel, and hydrogen fuel, with a maintenance cycle extended to 1,000 hours and a full availability rate in harsh mining conditions.
2. Natural Gas engine (LNG/CNG)
Focusing on heavy-duty trucks, urban construction machinery, and fixed power stations, it features low emissions and lower operating costs, making it the preferred power source for new energy transformation in domestic mining areas.
3. Hydrogen Internal combustion engines + hydrogen fuel cells (Future Core Track)
M15H hydrogen internal combustion engine, with a high power of 395kW, is suitable for mining trucks and large construction machinery. The fourth-generation fuel cell system is used for heavy-duty trucks and Marine power. Its zero-carbon brand Accelera has laid out electrolytic water hydrogen production and hydrogen storage equipment, integrating the entire hydrogen energy industry chain from production to storage and application, and completing the technological layout for carbon neutrality.
4. Hybrid power solution
P2 hybrid and range-extended power systems are compatible with the new generation of intelligent electric mining equipment, reducing fuel consumption and matching the power systems of unmanned driving fleets.
III. Five Core Application Tracks (The mining equipment field has the Strongest advantage)
1. Road commercial vehicles: heavy trucks, buses
The global mainstream heavy-duty truck original factory power supply, the main installed engines of Dongfeng, Shaanxi Automobile, Foton and JAC, takes into account the heavy-load climbing ability and fuel economy.
2. Non-road construction machinery (Core Track for Mining)
Open-pit mine dump trucks, gyratory crushers, screening equipment, shield machines, drilling RIGS. The X15 large-displacement model is the standard power configuration for large-scale mines in Africa, Australia and South America. It is resistant to sand and dust, high temperatures and extreme cold, and can start stably in an extreme environment of 40℃. All global mining equipment manufacturers (Sany, XCMG, and Caterpillar) offer Cummins power versions.
3. Ship power
Inland waterway freight vessels, ocean-going engineering vessels, and emergency generator sets for offshore platforms. The QSK series of Marine models are specially optimized for moisture-proof and anti-corrosion designs to meet international maritime emission regulations.
4. Fixed generator sets
Industrial backup power supplies, off-grid power generation in mining areas, independent power stations in remote overseas mines, and essential power for global infrastructure and mining projects.

1. All components are self-developed in a closed loop
The turbocharger, fuel injection system and after-treatment exhaust gas purification system are all self-produced. For the working conditions of large amounts of dust and poor oil quality in mines, the intake air filtration and fuel filtration schemes can be optimized separately, and the failure rate is lower than that of competing products from Caterpillar and Weichai.
2. PHM Predictive Maintenance Intelligent System
The engine is equipped with a full set of sensors to collect real-time data on rotational speed, oil temperature, oil pressure and wear. It is connected to the intelligent operation and maintenance platform of the mine to predict faults in advance and is compatible with unmanned mine fleets. This is the key reason why large overseas mines prefer Cummins.
3. Global service network
With after-sales service outlets in 190 countries and overseas mines in Africa, Southeast Asia and Central Asia, spare parts can be supplied nearby. It is the preferred power brand for overseas equipment.
V. Benchmarking Domestic Driving Forces: Opportunities and Shortcomings
Advantages: High-power heavy-duty mining engines, mature overseas channels;
Shortcoming: The price is relatively high; In recent years, Weichai and Yuchai's high-power models have been catching up rapidly, and the domestic mid-range mining projects' domestic substitution is accelerating.
In the next three to five years, the focus of competition will be on hydrogen internal combustion engines and hybrid power tracks.
If Caterpillar excels in complete machine manufacturing, then Cummins is the pure "king of power heart". It does not rely on the support of complete sets of equipment. Relying on the reliability of the engine itself, it supplies the vast majority of global mining and engineering equipment brands and is also the biggest overseas rival of domestic power vehicles going global.
