The Mexican Glizim Transport Company has received the first batch of 5 out of the 10 BAIC Nextar X9 tractor units placed on order. This introduction is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, improving safety standards, and promoting more sustainable operations through low-emission technologies that comply with Euro VI emission standards.
The delivery ceremony was held in Veracruz Port on May 27th. The executives from both companies were present, including Juan José Álvarez, the business director of BAIC Trucks México, and Carlos Zavaleta, the general manager of Glizim Transportation Company. Carlos Zavaleta stated that the decision to introduce BAIC vehicles was based on the trust established between the two companies and the results observed during actual operations.
The adoption of the cabover model is also an important transformation for the company. According to BAIC, this configuration improves the vehicle's handling performance and helps address one of the major challenges, the shortage of drivers, faced by the industry.

Additionally, Glizim Transport Company anticipates a 7% to 10% reduction in fuel consumption, which will have a positive impact on the operational costs of its fleet. The Cummins engine installed in the vehicle ensures the supply of spare parts as well as strong technical support and after-sales service networks.
