UM Company is the exclusive distributor of the JINNTA brand in Russia. Anton Sokolov, the business director of the company, shared the market situation of Chinese tower cranes and the new initiatives of this Russian supplier in terms of work direction. Shortage of tower cranes
After 2022, many suppliers rushed to find new partners, and UM company also decided to expand into new business areas and start engaging in equipment sales. Prior to this, the company mainly focused on leasing services for tower cranes.
Tower cranes are still in short supply in the market, and neither sellers nor leasing companies can provide the required quantity of equipment for the construction industry. This situation is happening at a time when the volume of construction projects continues to grow, and a large number of residential and industrial facilities are under construction, "said Anton Sokolov, Commercial Director of UM Company." The only option to increase supply is to introduce Chinese products. Therefore, now we not only meet market demand through equipment leasing, but also sell brand new equipment
UM company and JINNTA brand
The cooperation agreement with the Chinese JINNTA brand was signed in early 2024, marking the brand's first entry into the Russian market. One of the main criteria for choosing this brand is the adaptability of its equipment to the Russian environment. Anton Sokolov emphasized that the brand's products can be used in environments below minus 30 ℃, while many Chinese tower cranes are not recommended for use in temperatures below minus 20 ℃ (as the brittleness of the metal increases). Specifically, JINNTA equipment uses 355D steel with a thicker cross-section.

As a leasing company with multiple brands of tower cranes, we have studied the advantages and disadvantages of different models and shared our observations and experience with our Chinese partners, "Sokolov added." Therefore, in the production process of some models, such as the 12 ton tower crane, many localized operational details have been taken into account
JINNTA's products also comply with European standards, "he continued." The welding work of tower cranes is completely carried out on automated production lines. The use of powder coating technology ensures the durability of the coating
Status of available devices
At present, UM company provides JINNTA cranes with lifting capacity ranging from 8 tons to 32 tons, but other types of models can also be introduced according to orders.
At the CTT Expo 2024 held in May this year, one of the products in this series can be seen - JINNTA C7026P-12 tower crane. After the exhibition, this crane was sent to customers in Ufa. The lifting capacity of this model is 12 tons, with a free hanging height of 60 meters and an arm length of 70 meters. The C7026P-12 is characterized by an electronic control system and an ergonomic single operating room (i.e., the combination of the operating room and equipment room for easy maintenance of the crane).

Anton Sokolov believes that the shortage of tower cranes will not be resolved by the end of this year, and market demand will continue to grow. At the same time, new brands from China will continue to emerge.
I think we will see more new brands entering the market. China is a big country with numerous manufacturers. Some manufacturers enter the Russian market while others exit. Overall, the market is currently quite active. In this situation, extra caution is needed when choosing partners. Due to increased demand and unclear supply, there may be dishonest operating patterns, so it is important to be cautious, "the person in charge pointed out.
