The new JCB electric mini excavator model 8008E CTS will make its official debut at the upcoming Executive Hire Show. As part of JCB's zero-emission E-TECH series, the 8008E CTS retains the same architecture, body design, digging mechanism, and operational control features as its diesel-powered counterpart, the 8008 CTS. However, it incorporates an electric motor to drive the hydraulic pump and utilizes the same proven battery and powertrain technology found in existing JCB electric products.
Key Performance Features of the New Model:
- A 9.9kW·h battery provides ample power for full-day operations.
- With a working weight under 1 ton, it is easily transportable by truck or pickup.
- Equipped with 110V and 230V charging options, suitable for various construction site conditions.
- The 8008E CTS features an indoor noise level of 66dB(A) and an outdoor noise level of 80dB(A), making it ideal for indoor and urban construction environments. Compared to diesel models, it maintains equivalent overall performance and productivity. The maximum bucket digging force is 9.3kN, and the arm digging force is 4.6kN.
At the exhibition, JCB's booth will also showcase a range of low-emission equipment tailored for the rental industry, including: the world's first hydrogen fuel internal combustion engine developed by JCB for the global construction machinery sector, the 16C-1 mini excavator, the 1T-2 dump truck, and the HTD-5E dump truck.
