From May 22nd to 25th, the 7th China Western International Investment and Trade Fair was held at Chongqing International Expo Center and Yuelai International Convention Center. Chongqing Cummins was invited by the Electromechanical Group to showcase its latest 19L methanol engine.
It is reported that the 19L methanol engine exhibited by Chongqing Cummins adopts low-carbon fuel technology. Compared with traditional diesel engines, carbon emissions are reduced by 18%, reducing 45 tons of carbon emissions every 1000 hours of operation, significantly reducing pollutant emissions such as NOx, PM, and CO. Compared to diesel, it saves 40% of fuel costs, with a thermal efficiency of over 44.6%, and a minimum fuel consumption of only 412g/kWh. The alcohol and corrosion resistance design of key components further enhances the overall reliability of the machine. At the same time, the innovative cold start technology solution has successfully overcome the difficulties of methanol cold-start, and can start normally at minus 30℃ with strong adaptability. It can be widely used in multiple fields such as mining, power generation, and ships.
Yu Ying, the on-site person in charge of Chongqing Cummins, said, "As an open event focusing on new west, new manufacturing, and new services, the China Western International Investment and Trade Fair provides a broad platform for the development of the western region. Chongqing Cummins will continue to promote technological innovation, help the industry achieve green transformation and carbon neutrality goals, and contribute to the development of the western region.
