From June 26th to 28th, the 10th China International Mining Exhibition (CIME2025) was held at the Shenyang International Exhibition Center. Weichai made a grand appearance with its multi-fuel mining power. Next, four key words decode the hard-core strength of Weichai's mining power.
A full range of mining power solutions covering all fields
At the exhibition site, Weichai's 12M55 diesel engine, 16M33 diesel engine, WP17T methanol engine, WP14T diesel engine, as well as new energy power batteries and motors and other products were all on display.
Weichai has laid out and developed a diversified fuel power system including diesel, methanol, gas, hybrid and pure electric, providing a "Chinese solution" to address the pain point of the mining industry lacking independently controllable power.
Large mining trucks with an efficient and reliable Chinese core
At the exhibition site, the 12M55 and 16M33 diesel engines, representatives of Weichai's M series large-bore mining power, attracted the attention of many guests. Especially, the 12M55 diesel engine can be matched with 220-ton to 290-ton electric drive mining trucks, adapting to the harsh working conditions of high load and much dust in mines. The major overhaul cycle exceeds 20,000 hours, meeting customers' urgent demands for large-scale equipment, high transportation efficiency and high reliability, and providing an efficient and reliable "Chinese heart" for large mining trucks.
Equipped with multiple technologies, it saves customers both time and money
The WP14T diesel engine that made its debut this time is based on the world's first engine platform with a body thermal efficiency of 53.09%. It adopts technologies such as high-efficiency combustion technology, high-efficiency turbocharger matching technology, and friction loss reduction technology, and its comprehensive fuel consumption is more than 10% lower than that of its competitors. The generalization rate of peripheral and maintenance components of the products is 100%, with sufficient spare parts and convenient replacement.
The WP17T methanol engine is a dedicated methanol engine meticulously crafted by Weichai for wide-body dump trucks, which is unique in the industry and meets the requirements of long-term trouble-free operation. The engine has a high thermal efficiency and its operating cost is 40% lower than that of diesel engines. The oil change cycle is 500 hours, and the maintenance cost is lower.
At the exhibition site, Weichai launched its flagship products such as new energy power batteries, motor controllers, and range extender motors for the industry. Especially the B50 power battery products, with a capacity range of 170 to 828kWh, feature core performance advantages such as no smoke or fire when needle-punched, super anti-corrosion with a dedicated coating, an operating temperature range of -35℃ to 65℃, and an excellent cycle life with the support of pre-lithium technology. They have become the leaders in the industry that combines long life and fast charging functions. It can meet the power demands of different market segments such as loaders, excavators and mining trucks, allowing customers to use the vehicle without worries throughout its entire life cycle.
