The core power of the "vintage engine" comes from the first batch of engines produced by Chongqing Cummins after the establishment of the joint venture. In the 1990s, when power supply was tight, "old machines" were sent to the Xiya Villa complex as backup power sources to ensure the electricity supply for residents.
For the past three decades, it has been operating stably. Apart from consumables such as filters, the core components have never been replaced. All parameters and performance still meet the standards to this day, demonstrating an enduring and reliable quality.

In 2025, Chongqing Cummins decided to replace this meritorious equipment that had been working silently for 30 years with a brand-new generator set and bear all the costs as well as the maintenance and upkeep of the new machine for the next five years. At the "Thirty Years of Gratitude and Return: New Unit Replacement 'Old Machine'" event, the old machines were honorably "retired", and the new units officially put into service.
The "old machine" that had accompanied the community for nearly three decades was sent back to the Cummins factory in Chongqing to be preserved as a "military medal" of Cummins quality. This is not merely an update of the equipment, but also a reverberation of trust spanning three decades.
