At the same time, XCMG and Rio Tinto Simfer signed a work task book for the Guinea mining project on site, working together to assist in the mining of the Simandou project, the world's largest undeveloped iron ore mine.
Rio Tinto Group is a leading global mining company. In 2014, XCMG and Rio Tinto formed a historic partnership due to XCMG's hydraulic cylinder products. The hydraulic cylinder of the 400 ton excavator provided by XCMG has operated continuously for over 20000 hours in the Australian mining area, breaking the record for the fault free operation time of core components made in China. Afterwards, XCMG and Rio Tinto jointly developed the GR2605 grader and XC9 series high-end loader; In 2021, XCMG mining grader GR5505 was successfully delivered to Rio Tinto, and these equipment played an important role in the production and operation of the mine.

XCMG has successfully won the bid for the Simandou Mining Project in Guinea, providing a complete set of core mining equipment, including dozens of 230 ton mining trucks, 350 horsepower and 550 horsepower large mining graders, with a total contract amount of nearly 800 million yuan.
