Innovative Fuel Cell Technology HD150 Joins Hands with Hydrogen Energy Heavy Trucks for Amazing Debut
As a core component of the zero carbon power chain, the HD150 hydrogen fuel cell engine integrates Accelera's deep accumulation in hydrogen energy technology. With the characteristics of high power, high efficiency, low hydrogen consumption, and safety and reliability, it provides an ideal zero carbon solution for medium and heavy transportation scenarios, including heavy-duty slag, port trucks, general cargo transportation, coal and steel.
At the event, a hydrogen powered heavy-duty truck equipped with this engine made a stunning appearance. This fuel cell tractor was customized and developed by Cummins Accelera in collaboration with the vehicle factory. The entire vehicle is equipped with the AcceleraHD150 hydrogen fuel cell system, a "410kW motor+automatic transmission+drive axle" power chain, and the overall power and economy of the vehicle are improved. The vehicle's power system adopts a jointly developed dual energy source to deeply optimize energy flow management, ensuring that the vehicle's energy flow remains within an efficient operating range, with a standard load range of 350km-500km.
In the Shanghai area, the Cummins driven hydrogen fuel cell bus project and the urban green waste removal vehicle project have accumulated safe driving mileage of over 11 million kilometers, demonstrating the commercial potential and environmental benefits of hydrogen energy in heavy transportation.
Among them, a total of 72 Lingang buses are in operation driven by it. According to operational monitoring data, the hydrogen consumption per 100 kilometers of this batch of buses is 4.86 kilograms, which is about 8% higher than the industry level. In the past two years of operation, this batch of clean energy buses has achieved significant energy-saving and emission reduction effects, achieving a carbon reduction (CO ₂) of 6032 tons.
The hydrogen fuel cell waste dump truck project, as the first commercialized new energy vehicle in Shanghai, efficiently supports the construction of green municipal engineering in Shanghai, providing clean transportation capacity for engineering projects in Pudong, Fengxian, Jiading, and other places. It is expected to achieve carbon reduction (CO ₂) of over 20000 tons within 5 years
